Here’s the deal. I just picked up the Star Wars Deluxe Gold Trivial Pursuit Edition on sale. And I thought it was time we determined the Uber Star Wars fan here.
That said, I will post from 5-20 questions per day (or so, I may take weekends off) and I’ll keep track of the FIRST person who gets the questions right. I’ll track the scores in a spreadsheet and post them here periodically.
Most of the questions are pretty easy. They relate to episode’s 4-6. The box says there are a few ‘sneak preview’ Episode 1 questions but I haven’t found any yet. Be warned though, occasionally the questions are astoundingly obscure.
The question are chosen at random. I’ll just pull a card or two out of the box and post those questions.
Eventually, we’ll crown an Uber-Geek. The one, the proud.
Are you with me here?
First round of questions:
#1 Who fired the blaster bolt that ricocheted off the walls of the trash compactor?
#2 What handheld device did C-3PO use to contact Luke in the trash compactor?
#3 Who was the first to jump down the Death Star’s garbage chute?
#4 Who opened the pressure maintenance hatch to free Rebel heroes from the trash compactor?
#5 Who fired four blaster bolts at the trash compactor monster when it grabbed Luke?
#6 Who shut down the Death Star’s trash compactor?
actually I also think his primary function was to ‘program binary load lifter’ was it not?
<star wars geek hat on>
Owen: What I really need is for a droid that understands the binary language of moisture vaporators.
Threepio: Vaporators, why sir my prmary function was programmin binary load lifters, very similar to your vaporators in many ways.
Owen: okay, shutup
3p0: shutting up sir.

I’m going to have to keep refreshing this thread all day looking for new questions posted … I’m that much of a geek.
(I did see an Episode 1 Trivial Pursuit version. I was baffled. Is there enough material for questions in that game? Or will they resort to asking questions like, “How many cutscenes of Qui-Gon’s face were there in his duel with Darth Maul?”)
Darn you Johnathan! Now I have to hover around my computer constantly reloading in hopes that I will get a chance to answer some to prove just how dorky I am.
RE Question #1: Sorry, I don’t mean to quibble(not sure I could really). But when Han took his shot, didn’t Luke say that he’d already tried it and that the doors were magnetically sealed? If so, that would make Luke the first to shoot down there. Right?
OK, last batch before lunch. I know I said I’d post after lunch but I’ve got the time now. If these are answered after I get back from Pizza Huts all-you-can-eat buffet I’ll post more. I brought 8 cards with me today.
#13 Who said, “Fear will keep the local systems in line”?
#14 What device do Y-wing and X-wing pilots use to help them plot torpedo runs?
#15 What did Han say there were ‘a lot of’ during transit to Endor?
#16 How many stormtroopers positioned Han Solo above the carbon-freeze shaft?
#17 How many bolts from the training remote did Luke successfuly deflect with his lightsaber after donning a blast helmet?
#18 Whose advice to Luke included the line, “You are unwise to lower your defenses”?
#13 Grand Moff Tarkin #14 Targeting computer #15 There’s a lot of command ships, kid. #16 Are we talking before or after Chewie starts throwing them around? I’ll say three. #17 Three #18 Darth Vader
