Starfield - November 11, 2022. How excited are you?

There are the other ones I mentioned, but ultimately you’re right–they’re ships in a narrative sense, but practically speaking they’re space stations. They don’t seem to be pilotable.

I captured a Spacer Raccoon and turned it into this monstrosity over time, raking up Starship Design in the process.

We’re about to go out for a shakedown run.

Hm. Need to try having the workshop and docking mechanism swap ends.

Hmmm.

I find the game very repetitive, and this is just another example. There isn’t a lot of variety in what to see and do.

Well, I believe I am almost done.

I collected the last artifact, killing a bunch of Starborns and then talking the last two guys into letting me just take it. Having grabbed it, Andreja, the last character I romanced - I dumped the other ones - asked to marry me, so we did that. Now I guess I can step into the Unity. What’s the point?

The first character I created is nearing the end of the main storyline. I’m thinking of not taking her into NG+ and leaving that to my others. I’ve enjoyed Elite Dangerous and No Man’s Sky; I’m used to wandering around the galaxy, not really doing anything in particular.

Skip to 30:05 for a ship constructed to defeat NPC targeting routines.

I’ve seen that video. Some of those designs are amazingly imaginative.

The “invincible donut” design is so cheesy though…

True, but I’ve seen variants of that which are more ship-like. Sort of a cross between these:

I didn’t mean cheesy in appearance, though there is that too. I meant it as taking advantage of an exploit.

I’m sure you can take that design and make it into something pretty cool-looking.

Beachballs in Starfield sink. Sonny Di Falco’s Island, Maheo I; watch out for secret passages in the ceiling and pirates. Yes, they can be picked up but they can’t be put in inventory.

I’ve been playing as my third character, the Va’Ruun, lately. Haven’t seen any other special dialog options yet.

Captured a decent Crimson Fleet ship that had landed and have been adding to it.

Strange thing: second time entering orbit after taking over, there was a Spacer/Freestar battle and everyone was hostile without me firing a shot.

Well, this is different.

I’ve finally given up on the game after running into the bug that empties everything out of your apartment. It was the last straw. I’m just glad I never actually spent actual money on this game. Bethesda clearly does not know how to make functional games anymore.

I laughed at “anymore.”

I found this game FAR more stable and reliable than any previous Bethesda release.

…Good point.

And true but at the same time very sad.

My modified Abyss Trekker, dubbed Outrigger. The only obvious non-vanilla part from this angle is the DerreTech Y adapter for the cockpit; the weapons are vanilla with color options enabled.

The only other obvious non-vanilla parts are those fuel tanks from the Star Wars-themed Avontech and the gear doesn’t really fit under the engines; I had already adjusted tolerance for Avontech.

I think I’ll tweak the Abyss Trekker’s original cyan to be more like that electric blue on the fuel tanks and add some white highlights.
