Starter archery kit?

Don’t have details on the bow yet but he said around $500 is a good bow. Of course you can go cheaper if you want. $500 is the max for me , I could spend $400 too. I don’t view $500 as a lot for something that will last me for years. Golfers spend thousands on clubs and $50 and up just for 1 round. In any hobby you can really spend a lot if you want. I remember a coworker telling me she was buying a new wheel for her bike and it was only $800 for just one wheel. And she thought that was a great deal. I did not ask her what the tire and inner tube cost. Probably another $200

was shooting low so I aimed higher and doing much better.

4 bullseyes today

From how far away and how many arrows downrange? Pretty soon we’ll have to change your name to Legolas…

just 20 metres for now. Olympic is 70 but it used to be 90 and it’s outdoors. They changed it to 70 to make it better for TV. I had 4 bullseyes out of around 60 arrows shot. It was indoor so there is no wind . This place 20 meters is the max. There are some outdoor places that I will find out about. I doubt I ever do anything close to 70 metres

That’s pretty good! I was getting those kind of stats at 10m initially so you’re ahead of me as a tyro. You never know; distance shooting gets pretty addictive!

got a stronger bow and that is helping me be more accurate. This is probably the type I will buy in a month or so. There is a local place I might go that I need my own bow for.
