Are there any states that have never had a Republican governor? Are there any states that have never had a Democrat governor?
Well I thought Hawaii might not have had a Republican one, but when I checked, I found out they have one now.
So my answer would be, I don’t know.
Every state has had both Republican and Democratic governors. The last holdout, Virginia, elected its first Republican governor in 1973.
