There is a demo out now for Static, the blatantly Fallout inspired RPG of retrofuturistic tech and government-sponsored brainfuck in a post-apocalypse world. The game runs like cottage cheese on my computer at work, but looks pretty good. It has the feel of an updated Amiga game, but that may be largely because of the somewhat cheesy music that accompanies the game. If a commercial version ever becomes available, I’ll have to see if I can’t hack it to play Fallout music instead.
I’ll have to check this out. I saw the game’s website a while back, but after they stopped updating it I assumed the project was dead.
