Well, the FCC couldn’t of cared too much since they never did a thing about it 'Sides which, that sort of violation is a station fine so it wasn’t my problem. As for the state, we broadcasted into Indiana, so I assume it was just to let people know where we were from.
Uber, good point about the live broadcasts. We used to run live programming and although we would break for station IDs, we certainly didn’t sweat doing it on the hour or even near the hour for that matter. We did more than one per 60 minute period, but it might have been at 18:11:20 and the next at 18:47:53 and the next at 19:23:44 or something. Beats me if it was “correct” or not, but it was six years and 250 miles ago so I can’t say I’m sweating it.
