I was wondering about the status of cannabis consumption in Amsterdam as of this date. I have some friends going over there who asked me what the situation was. I assumed it was business as usual, but looking on line yields various results at best:
This link implies that it’s business as usual:
This one implies the opposite:
Can anyone, perhaps a Dutch doper or someone in Amsterdam tell me if things have changed there with regards to cannabis or if things are more or less the same?
Thank you in advance,

Yep, business as usual. The bans on ‘foreigners’ in the border region mostly seems to have adverse effects anyway (drugdealing). No problem going into a coffeeshop in Amsterdam.
I was in Amsterdam a few weeks ago and there didn’t seem to be a shortage of coffee shops.
Yup. The only thing you’ll likely need to buy cannabis is some ID that says you’re 18 or older.
The OP’s second link seems badly informed and mostly based on proposals that have been shot down some time ago. Or didn’t even make it to the “tweede kamer”.
