A guy with the contractors replacing windows plugged his virus infested laptop into my LAN, the rotten bastard.
Department of Information Services very nicely calls me up and tells me I have blaster on one of my PCs and I’m eatting up the bandwidth on our router.
I couldn’t find the bastard, but I found the laptop with help from the DIS guy who found some files mentioning the contractor in an un used office.
I just pulled the cable, but I’m thinking I should have taken this moron’s laptop, running Win XP as an administrator without a password, and put a password on it for him…
Why would he need a computer to replace windows in your office? I mean, just measure and order. When the windows come in, you just take out the old ones and put the new ones in their place. Just some sawing and prying to get them out, then just a few screws to install the new ones.
Now, if there ere were some radii to deal with, maybe I could see him using a computer. Even then, I just use a tape measure to figure if I have a circle arc or a different curve. Sometimes, I draw and cut a template. Actually, I could do all on computer, but I think it would slow me down.
Oh… Windows OS! :smack:
