Steam Summer Sale begins today you guys!!

I really like EU IV. It isn’t that easy of a game to get into, none of Paradox’s games are, but I always have fun with the series. The DLCs are reasonably priced and regularly go on sale.

Verde Station is 80% off right now, and it’s one of the best games I’ve played in ages. A lot of the reviews say not to even read the reviews or watch the trailer videos ('cause spoilers), and I can kind of see their point.

My plagiarized recommendation is that if you like games like Gone Home, or movies like Moon, then you’d find it fun.

I’ve heard that MGS V:GZ is very short – like one hour short – and its value comes from replaying it and trying different tactics and perfecting your game. Supposedly the game play itself is great and it’s called one of the best ports from last year so it depends on what you’re looking for.

Out of what’s on sale, and no idea what you already own:
Ten bucks for the Metro bundle is a good price on a couple great games. They’re unlikely to get below $5 each any time soon.
Child of Light is a good buy at $3.74 if you like turn-based RPGs (the screenshots make it look like a platformer).
Wolfenstein: The New Order was easily the best FPS I played last year and is 75% off (though still $15).
Alien: Isolation was praised for its first-person horror scariness and is 75% off at $12.50.
Batman: Arkham Asylum / City / Origins are all five bucks each and well praised games.

That’s some stuff that meets the intersection of quality and discount in my mind.

I missed that Tomb Raider is $3.99 – an easy buy at that price. Plus, the DLC is almost entirely for multiplayer (aside from one 5 minute single player tomb) so you can ignore any bundled DLC versions.

I cracked on the last day.

This War of Mine (+ charity DLC)
The Orange Box (because I am probably the only PC gamer left that doesn’t have it)

Newegg has Life is Strange for the lowest price it’s been for the complete season, $8.80

Life is Strange: Episode 1 = $2 (60% off)
Life is Strange: Season Pass (Eps 2-5) = $6.80 (60% off)

I wouldn’t normally bump the thread to post this, but since it already was, apparently the Xbox store is running the ultimate game sale.

I’m not posting that because it’s a digital sale, although I suppose it is, but more so we can point and laugh. “Ultimate sale” indeed.

Maybe they call it “ultimate” because it’s the last one?
