Steelers' / Jets playoff

The Jets only have two.

SteelerFan, you may now breathe.

Sweet to see the JETS defense not being able to get it done at the end. I particularly enjoyed Rex Ryan throwing his headset down.

Congrats to the Steelers. I look forward to the Super Bowl.

And that was it, congratulations Pittsburgh!

Can I stop peeking at the screen through my fingers too?

Super Bowl!!!

A fitting outcome on Myron Cope’s birthday.

Makes me wish the game were longer. The Steelers outplayed the Jets in the first half more than the Jets outplayed the Steelers in the second half.

I knew it all along, never doubted for a moment, we kicked their asses!

Then came the second half…
The Steelers came through when they needed to, and that was enough for today. Hopefully in the Super Bowl both teams will put in two good halves, unlike today…

Hopefully nobody on the team reads this thread, because it’s hard to play football while blind

Indeed.

Steelers’ performance today seemed devoted to the idea that what the Ravens tried last week, if executed slightly better, was good football strategy. Perhaps they’ll decide the SB is worth 3 or even 4 quarters of their best effort.

I wonder if the Jets not showing up in the beginning was a result of them not talking smack all week. They were mouthy and cocky the last couple of weeks and then backed it up. This last week they didn’t say a thing and came out flat.

 I’ll warn you now, if you’re planning on pointing out *all *my typos you’re going to have a full-time job!

These guys really tested my BP meds - but in the end it was a big W and we are off to the Super Bowl!

OK… now that the Steelers won, who here thinks that Markice Pouncey’s loss was a big deal in the second half?

They couldn’t do anything on the ground without Pouncey. I hope his ankle heels soon!

I was worried the second he got injured…I noted to my brother in law that we were almost certainly going to see a botched snap at some point…turns out we had two. Pouncey is a huge loss, and unfortunately, from the way he was limping and how quickly he was in street clothes, I think the chances of him playing in the Super Bowl are pretty low. If he’s out, though, at least Ben will get two weeks of solid reps with Legursky.

Now, this one I get.

Opening line is Green Bay by 3.

down to 2.5 already.

I wonder if crazy steeler fans will bring the line to pick 'em

Can someone explain to me the end of the game? I was only able to follow the game by looking as ESPN’s “Gameday”, but it looked to me like there was still 1:00 or so on the clock after Ben Roethlisberger’s kneel on fourth down. Was that app just not updating? How much clock time does taking a knee actually burn?
