For anyone in the know, is there a star called Arcanis? How about Archanis? Something like that.

Don’t shoot me. This question comes from a reference in Star Trek. Mr. Sulu tells Captain Kirk where the ship is by pointing to stars on a chart: “There’s Sirius over there, and there’s Canopus, and Arcanis.”

So is there a star that astronomers refer(red) to, at least informally, as Arcanis? Or did the writes just make it up?

And Arcanis does not appear. If we’re to assume that that list is complete, then there is in fact no Arcanis.
