I’m kind of partial to Arcturus. To me it sounds a little ominous. I also like Antares. Sounds 50s sci-fi.
Staying with “A” names, I’ll go with Aldeberan (and however it’s really pronounced!)
Follow the arc to Arcturus and speed to Spica.
I like Altair for the same reason. Altair IV was the planet in the movie “Forbidden Planet”
Alberio isn’t too bad, either.
And yeah, a lot of them start with A. It comes of them mostly being from Arabic.
Same here but mostly from the old song and album as much as anything else.
I’m partial to Wolf 359.
Tina Louise
(I’m goin’, I’m goin’.)
My favorite is Sirius. Seriously.
Vega is the lamest. Why would they name a star after such a shitty car?
I like Zubenelgenuibi, which is a much cooler name than Alpha2 Librae. Alpha Librae - Wikipedia

Altair…yeah, that’s good. I like it.
Betelgeuse, except for when Hrungs collapse there.
Aldeberan is one of mine. Mintaka is another.
Betelgeuse, home of Ford Prefect.
As ominous as Ra’s al-Ghul, the Demon Star?
Epsilon Eridani is one where even the Bayer designation sounds cool.
Is there a Mordred?
Yes, Algol, also called Demon Star. Curiously, many cultures associate Algol with violence and bloodshed - cultures that would not necessarily have been in touch with each other to coordinate star reputations. Astrologically too Algol is considered unfavorable. Something about it, then. This monster system passed within 9.8 lightyears of Earth millions of years ago, per Wikipedia.
Favorite star name: Spica. Short and beautiful.
Drinking chocolate is a little expensive though.
So is Alpha Centauri
Mizar and Alcor sound like 2 bad guys as well as being a cool double star
I’m partial to Pleiades too
