He likely won’t do it, but I thought the interesting part is that no sports figure ever has been offered that kind of money for an autograph. I’ve been to memorabilia stores and seen collectible pieces autographed by some of the people listed there selling for that much, but to just show up and scratch your name out once it’s never happened.
Personally, I think the offer is a bit low. But I guess they would be banking on someone then purchasing the item for more than the 25k, even if the proceeds are going to charity. It would certainly be a one-of-a-kind piece.
