I just got Split Decision by the Steve Morse Band and it it is amazing. Steve is his usual self, playing complex lines that would stump most guitarists yet the playing by Dave LaRue and Van Romaine is outstanding.
BusyBodies is a complex classical piece that rocks. The 4th song, “Mechanical Frenzy” is Steve going at it in a big way with a great groove at the same time Dave has a wonderful bass solo about half way through the song.
Steve then goes onto a song called “Great Mountain Spirits” that starts with a mellow horn sound. It then picks up to a nice heavy tune with a great solo section.
