Looks like it was a legit local newspaper, started in 1891. They were online until 2022.
They only have three authors of their articles that do not cite or link any other news providers. No articles about Stewartville, MN and articles are fairly random.

It’s only a matter of time. The Washington Post is already reportedly planning to use an ‘AI coach’ to buff up conservative op-eds gleaned from outside contributors “creating an offering outside the paywall that will include content from partner news organizations and Substack” . How long before they start using generative AI to gin up straight news articles as not only a cost saving measure but put in place those uppity journalists who think their job is to report factual information even if editorial direction says otherwise?
