Sticky: Too many stickies.

Just look at the top of the board. We’ve got:

**Sticky: december banning
Sticky: Discussion of Pit rules
Sticky: Wishing death on someone…
Sticky: Pit rules **

Gotta scroll halfway down the frickin’ page to get to the good shit here. My mouse finger is getting sore. One of these is pretty much obsolete, one soon will be, and the other two are repetitive. Can we retire some of these, perhaps?

Go ahead and flame me for lameness. You wouldn’t be the first.

I agree, and it would be a shame to let this thread drop off the end of the page.

I propose making this thread a sticky.

I’m just wondering after reading the December banned sticky.

Does a troll’s quack echo?

Agreed. Anybody who feels that there should be a sticky containing the word “rules”, should probably put all of the rules in one sticky, not separate ones. Not trying to be a dick, just efficient.

As for the December banning, well, maybe there should be a forum called “Banned”. So if anybody is looking for info on why someone was banned, you could look there and find out. Each thread would contain the title, “December - Banned”, which would be locked ASAP by a mod which would contain reasoning for the banning. I doubt this would happend though because the mods generally do not explain themselves (which they don’t have to), but why is December the exception? Because he was a long time member or because he had a high post count? Oh well. The mods can do whatever they want, doesn’t really bother me. Carry on…

As Dex explained, they put a sticky up explaining the banning of december for those members who’d be away from their computers durign Labor Day weekend, therefore missing the thread on it.

The government of Canad would like to apologise for making so many apologies, and for that, we are truly sorry.

Nah. Too easy.

The point about the Mods not explaining themselves is that this is just more attention for banned trolls. Most trolls want attention, they want fuss, they want banned. The best way to get rid of them is to ban them and let their unwelcome presence slip away publicly unremarked and unlamented.

The worse thing you could do is create a permanent “martyr’s corner” as a lasting memorial to each troll, which is exactly what a “Banned” forum as you suggest it would become. Get banned and see how many views your memorial thread gets!! Have another go! Try and beat the high score!
