stimulating facial hair growth?

So, I was wondering if there was some way to get a little more out of my facial hair. Basically, I’ve got the facial hair of a very very rugged looking hobbit. I get a tuft of half-inch long hairs on my chin, a very faint mustache, and some uneven sideburns. I was wondering if there was some kind of vitamin or a certain type of food I could eat more of to generate a bit more facial hair (My dad’s side of the family all grows thick beards, my mom’s side, not so much).

I was watching Tyra the other day and they said for women that over-pluck their eyeborws (I hate that look BTW), they can put Rogaine on their faces. Because it is near their eyes though they did say to be very, very careful and use a swab.

I suppose you could do that if you really wanted to.

  1. Choose different parents. Impossible, of course, but it’s the main cause of your facial hair type.

  2. Hair is made of protein. Very few of us have a protein-deficient diet, so there isn’t much you can do with your diet.

  3. Shampoos that promise “extra body” coat the hair to make it very slightly thicker, so that might help a bit.

  4. I have no information about facial use of rogaine®

  5. Go with the flow. Wispy facial hair can be a good look. Try it for a month or two, and see what you think. Baseball player Scott Spezio wears a wispy ribbon of beard on his chin, dyed bright pink. Fans glue pink fuzzy strips to their chins to show their affection.
