Do y’all get those stock spams?
“Stock market pick of the day, Buy CFGI, expected to go up 10x in the next week”, that sort of thing? I installed some new spam filtering at work, and those sort of e-mails are very persistent at getting through.

Well today in my home mail I got a stock pick 4-page 8.5x11 color glossy brochure about some green energy company that’s supposed to go up 500%. My guess is whoever paid to send these brochures owns a lot of the stock. :rolleyes:

These are pump and dump scams. Someone has bought up shares of the penny stock, then they send out spam hoping to lure in suckers. Once the price is driven up, they dump their shares and the sucker is left with shares which are worthless.

One of them, CMKX, even bought space on a drag racer!
