Stop claiming it was a joke, you piece of crap

Yup, all that constant effort to block out anything that might debunk the talking points you accept as the gospel.

Speaking of gospel;

Acts 17:11

And the people of Berea were more open-minded than those in Thessalonica, and they listened eagerly to Paul’s message. They searched the Scriptures day after day to see if Paul and Silas were teaching the truth.

Nowadays, you have the sum of human knowledge at your fingertips. But they won’t look to see if something is true before posting it. Right click on an image, search with google. Hey look at that! It tells provides you proof right away that Whoopi’s shirt didn’t say what your picture showed! The guy I pointed this out to on twitter last night just went off on how brainwashed I was and devolved into angry word salad. I blocked him.
If you want to choose hate, if you want to spend your days listening to lies that are designed to make you angry and hate far too many people, I can’t stop you. I can only pity you that this angry life is how you choose to live. :frowning:

The worst things I’ve done on Ambien are eating an entire bag of Tostito’s at 2am and storing my laptop in the fridge overnight.*

I’m glad I took the generic version (Zolpidem) and not the Ambien Extended Release Racist formula. I shudder to think what could have happened!

*Lunesta actually made me nuttier, it’s strange stuff. I don’t think they’ve marketed a racist formulary yet (Racista?)

Lunestra made you loony? Say it ain’t so! :stuck_out_tongue:
Not creative enough? Need more crazy in your life? Try new Lunestra!

“I think that Johnny skipped taking Ambien tonight and went to sleep watching that video. He was supposed to call me, but he didn’t call. So I’m figuring instead of taking Ambien, he watched your video and fell asleep. That’s how damn boring your uh, videos are. They’re replacements for Ambien. And Lunesta. So anyone on Ambien or Lunesta, why don’t you try weaning yourselves off of those two drugs and watch JD’s video. It will work. Almost put me to sleep.”

Of course not. That would be tarded.

I’m white. And I gotta admit, sometimes, I don’t like white people.

I’m white. And I gotta admit, sometimes, I don’t like people.

That’s a very good article – with misleading headlines as usual.

If one reads all the way through to the end, the 3% margin-of-error is revealed. That could bump the results up to 56% or knock them down to 50%

Half is, obviously, not a majority. And even 56% isn’t much to crow about. I mean, let’s face it. The planet is populated by a 51% majority of women, but they’re hardly singing about the glory and power they control.

Delving deeper into the article’s details and comparative surveys, one naturally finds that right-wingers, who cling to their favoritism of heirarchical structures, homogeneity, elite priviledge, and deference to everything elite including icons and symbols (e.g. anthems and flags) are overwhelmingly in favor of unequivocal blind faith and loyalty. After all, if/when such faith and loyalty slips, their elite status is threatened.

Meet the new boss:
Same as the old boss!

…Who’s Next

For the life of me, I cannot see how the fuck you come to that conclusion based on my post. Please explain.

So after reading through 228 posts in this thread and ignoring about half of it, I’m thinking three things:

  1. Was this situation a calculated effort on Ms. Barr’s part? Something we’ll know more about later, when events unfold? I mean it occurred to me that perhaps she wasn’t happy about – well, whatever…the writers, the profanity restrictions that are still in place on broadcast network television, her non-white boss, her costuming department’s poor taste or unflattering products show-after-show, whatever. Was this a way to get out of her contract without paying a penalty – if she walks out she suffers a breach-of-contract suit but if ABC cancels the show she’s not held liable? The question would then be, “Why?” and the answer would be “because ____ was offered but the existing show schedule interfered with the offered [better] gig.”

  2. Is this latest media-engrossing situation just another episode, another faux pas, another incident? I don’t mean to make light of the racial issues at all, but its becoming increasingly well-known that a lot of comedians have some pretty intense mental health issues. Jim Carey, Robin Williams, et al are great at making us laugh when they’re up, but it’s coming to light that they’re also suffering some pretty severe down phases, as well. And, just as (I’ve recently learned) Aspergers syndrome manifests and presents itself differently in males than in females, perhaps Ms. Barr is demonstrating a female version of “comedians’ mental illness” as age makes her weaker and the illness gets worse? [I really don’t think it’s fair to lump all comedians’ or their mental health problems into one bucket, either, so I hope you’ll focus on the question and not my apparent insensitivity in trying to ask.] Other responders in this thread have said, “Hey, she’s been getting crazier and crazier…” and maybe that’s literally true?

  3. Perhaps I’m being oversensitive but…

…seems excessively misogynistic. I did think, “Gee, perhaps President Rump will offer her the VP position if/when he runs as an incumbent!” but reducing her to just the dimorphic body parts seemed too objectifyingly rude.

But…carry on…

Perhaps you are, Grestarian. Because to me it just means she’s a female Trump.

BTW don’t you dare blame this on autism, which by the way isn’t a bloody mental illness. Autism doesn’t manifest in racist and otherwise bigoted tweets.

Okay it doesn’t excuse the hate, but sexagenarians do come down with cases of autism all the time, usually from those damn influenza vaccines.

Not bad. You know what else is needed? A Saturday Night Live skit: Little Racists. You can even have one character resembling Trump, let’s call him “Spanky”.

(Bolding mine)

Bwahahahahahah. You’re so full of shit it’s spilling out your mouth. Trump says the same crap as Barr on a daily basis and 60 million of you slobs voted for him. Now were supposed to believe you have ethics. Funny stuff.

I like it. They should go with Janet Hubert, the original Aunt Viv on The Fresh Prince of Bel Air.

Not exactly. Trump once filed filed a $5 million dollar lawsuit against Maher because:

Trump fully deserved it for his disgusting birther nonsense. He deserves much worse, actually.

I think it’s ironic that quite a few people have so much to say about offensive things people have said while lacing their comments with fucks and goddamns, both also offensive to many people, one prohibited by the ten commandments which many people hold dear. But hey, free speach right?

Having said that, they should pass a law to keep people from saying things that others find offensive. That won’t interfere with free speech because they can still say it, they will just have a penalty if they do. We should try that.

I’m all for people protecting themselves, and I do not condone what she said, I never liked her in the first place. However, I do defend her right to say whatever she wants without retribution. To me, that’s what free speech is.

I live in the deep south where I hear racist speech all the time, it’s apparently part of the DNA down here. I don’t condone it, I don’t appreciate it, I also don’t get offended by it. Why? Because I can keep myself separated from it. I don’t have to believe it just because I heard it. I don’t have to like someone who says it. I’m not required to abide by some Jethro’s world view. I don’t want to step on their free speech for one reason, I don’t want them stepping on mine.

I’ve already seen people get butthurt over the most stupid things. When a person says something like fuck her or she’s a goddamn nut or anything like that, there are plenty of people who find that offensive. I was reading a post the other day at work hoping my boss didn’t look over my shoulder and see what I was reading simply because there was so much profanity in almost every post and my boss happens to be a minister. He would find some of this highly offensive and yet there are many here, including me, that use profanity regularly. I use profanity but I refrain when in front my boss, not because he would fire me (he wouldn’t) but out of respect for his beliefs. I do the same with my parents.

I know this will probably be viewed as trolling. I’ve seen many times, especially lately, where people speak their mind and people get all bent out of shape over it. Say what you want, I don’t really care, but when people start having to limit what they say for fear of reprisal, I can’t think of that as free speech. I do not have to agree with anything anyone says but I will defend their right to say it. Carry on with the offensive profanity and useless bashing of someone that, to me at least, isn’t worth wasting my time thinking about. Like I said, I never liked her in the first place so I never considered her important enough to be an issue of any kind.

Right. Profanity is as bad or worse than racism. Sure thing.

Blah blah blah blah blah. It’s amazing that someone can write six paragraphs and not say a fucking thing.

Nobody interfered with Barr’s first amendment rights, moron. A company chose not to associate themselves with her. Full stop.

Get it, goddamn dumbass?

So you think you should have the right to go up to your boss, call him/her every racial and sexist slur you can think of, and suffer no retribution?

Yeah, ok.

That’s an interesting definition of free speech you have there.

Not accurate in any sense, but interesting.
