Bumping to say I just got back from the IMAX version and it is very well worth it if there’s an option to see it in that format.
Today’s CBS Sunday Morning show had a nice segment on the band (it might have been a repeat), if you’re able to find it on a streaming platform.

It seems that the movie is coming back to theaters at the end of January. Story here. Also, there will be a remastered Blu-Ray and 4K version available.
I’m excited since I missed it in the theater back in September.
I remember seeing it on the Princess Theatre in Edmonton back in the mid 80s. It already had cult film status. Everyone rushed the stage in front of the screen and danced along with pretty much all the moves David Byrne was doing. It was a blast! I don’t know if that happened everywhere or if it was a local phenomenon (do do do do do).
The 4K remastered/ updated version of Stop Making Sense is now available for pre-order at the A24 website.
