Please do not dispose of the evidence (erem… ) old threads!
It is an important feature that all of us willing suckers (read: volunteer paying subscribers) are desirous of.
Yup, just keep an archive of the old threads and I’ll, even more cheerfully, fork over the money for a subscription.
Calling all MODS:
Do we have a problem here?
Well, as I understand it, it’s only the really old threads, from 1999. Do we really need to keep all the post count parties from 1999?
Well, dang, hit Submit instead of Preview.
And then the verdammt computer locked up…
Anyway, what I was going to say was, basically, “Hey, dude, they’re threads from, like, 1999, which is, like, ancient history, you know? Before Y2K, before J-Lo’s Grammy dress, before the Florida election results… What happened in 1999 anyway that anybody gives a rip about?”
And, “Hey, it’s only an Internet message board, it’s not like it’s Shakespeare or something.”
If there’s something you really want to keep, bump it for Ed’s perusal and magisterial decision. (I have this mental image of the baby dinosaur in the Dinosaurs episode where he grows the horn on his head, and sits there on a throne granting zoning variances. “Kiss the baby!”)
You make a good point.
If the board is headed for fees, we deserve all the old threads.
