Speaking for MBAs everywhere, let it be known that we don’t give a shit what color you are, we just want your money.
And, for the record, much less than half of my class was white males. They’re easily the plurality, but probably not the majority any longer (well, maybe in existence - but not newly minted, for sure). Not that it matters, the various ethnicities at my business school showed no real differences from one another on items of importance.
But then, it hardly matters what the media bosses studied and whether they’re part of “them” or “us” with respect to SF-ers. What matters is how they see media as marginalizing whites, often portraying white characters as weak or dysfuctional, compared to other races. While I do see some of this being true (like in “Machete”), I know it’s not always the case. Movies are often made focusing on certain ethnicities. That’s all there is to it.
Well, the Biz-School graduating class is one thing, and the boardroom’s another. I daresay most of those you’ll find in the latter are, still, white males. Wearing suits, still.
As a matter of personal experience, most of the upper management I work with within my financial institution partners (i.e. Banks and Credit Unions) are usually women.
