Storytelling podcasts

I am a huge fan of The Moth podcast, but one 15-20 minute story a week is simply not enough! I’ve been downloading Snap Judgment podcasts, and they are OK but a little over-produced (sound effects, music, etc.) for my taste. However, they’re an hour long, which is good, since I like to listen to these when I’m running.

Anyone have recommendations for some other podcasts that are of the “real stories told by real people” ilk?

You might check the out Risk! podcast.

I too love the Moth. I also enjoy This American Life, which is more narrative by Ira Glass, but does have large chunks of audio by the person who is being portrayed, generally.

I look forward to seeing what else gets suggested in this thread.

QtM, our local public station carries “This American Life,” so I usually catch the broadcast but the podcast suggestion is a good one, as I do miss the broadcast sometimes.

zombywoof, I will give Risk! a try.

I’ve recently started listening to the NPR Hearing Voices podcast. It’s a little bit different from The Moth, but it’s still more about real people.

Now if you want podcasts of STORIES, I listen to lots of them. Apparently I like to be read to. :stuck_out_tongue:

Excellent! The Risk podcast is exactly what I’ve been looking for.

I like Story Collider and RadioLab.
