Darn it Rubes, here I got all excited thinking that for once I’d be the first to share something cool and unexpected. I had copied the link and hurried over here to start a new thread with my paste first thing this morning, only to find out I was a day (well, an hour) late and a dollar short, as usual. I was caught totally unawares by the seemingly routine citing of the SD on CNN, as if it were saying, “According to the AMA”, or “According to developers at MIT”. Oh well, as long as the fight continues.
P.S. Did you read the nearby article about the Klansman who got put into a jail cell with several black men who proceeded to beat him? (Senseless, or should one say even more senseless, one would hope.) Not funny that he’s getting money out of it now (grrrrr), but funny that there was a bit of “Twilight Zone” (or would it be “Bloom County”?) irony/justice in the original incident.
“Well, helllooooooo, Mr. ‘Bring Back the Death Penalty’!”
I guess even CNN reporters know that they cannot achieve basic life competence without consulting Cecil’s work on a regular basis.
So does this mean that one of our fine members writes for CNN.com?
Well, I know we have at least 2 members at Time Magazine. CNN is owned by Time/Warner, right?
coincidence? I don’t think so!
