I’ll raise a (legal) glass to you all, since I just turned 21. And I’m going to blend up my cake and drink it down, since Fate decided to give the the gift of the biggest canker sore I’ve ever had right smack between my molars.
Happy birthday kids. I’m August 4th myself. That’s this Sunday, just 2 days till I’m 26. Not too much partying for me this year. I’ll be spending most of the day at a tech rehersal for this play that I’m in for the Fringe Festival (a theater extraveganza they do every year here in NYC - 1000 performances in just 17 days!). Tech rehearsals are notoriously boring and tedious, so, oh well. Plus the next morning is Monday and I have to be at my job. Starting the week with a hangover is a little rough. Although, as of today (Friday) I can tell you ending the week with one can be a little rough too. There was a Fringe party last night at this club “Spa”. Free booze. I’ll let you figure out the rest.
I don’t mind having to rehearse all that much. After all, the name of the play is Naked Girls Drinking and it has quite a few very attractive ladies in the cast (there is also a scene were one of those girls mounts and rides me in a fit of rage turned to passion . . . in an artistic way . . . .what? . . . . why are you looking at me like that?). Maybe I can steal some birthday kisses back stage. . . .
Incidently, when you cross my Zodiac sign with my Chinese sign (based on the year you were born) you get a cool title. I’m a Leo Dragon, which I have always thought sounds way cool.
It’s alot better than being a Cancer Rat. Heh heh.
I turned 16 yesterday, the 1st, and i just got home from taking my driving test and… I passed! I spent the whole day with my friends just hanging out and I’m going up to San Francisco on the tenth. Happy Birthday August dopers!
El Gui we share a birthday, I’ll hit the big 2-0 on the 19th, and I have positively no plans yet. Maybe my friends will take me out for dinner…

Well, my birthday was yesterday but since I didn’t notice this thread until today, I guess I’ll tell y’all what I did and received for my big day.
My best friend and her mom got me Ravenous and Priscilla, Queen of the Desert on video and a DVD with The Man with the Golden Arm and Suddenly on it. And a Hello Kitty plastic figurine where she’s holding a guitar. It’s rock star Hello Kitty.
Then yesterday my parents took me out to a Chinese restaurant even though my dad doesn’t like Chinese food. He ate from the buffet and got a lot of fried food and when he got tater tots someone he didn’t know made fun of him for not getting real Chinese food.
Last night I had my birthday party which was so much fun. About 15 of my friends came and we swam and ate pizza and cake my mom made. It was a lot of fun though somewhat depressing because we are all leaving for college sometime this month (we all graduated this year) so I won’t see a lot of them for a long time.
And then today, two of my friends who couldn’t come to the party last night are taking me out to lunch. I’m especially excited because it’s two of my good-looking guy friends and all the girls last night were jealous of me when I said something about it.
And a happy birthday to all other Doper August birthdays! I’d offer some leftover cold pizza but I think I already ate it all.
I will be turning 26 on the 26th of this month. That makes me a Virgo Dragon (mmmm virtuous dragon - not sure this computes correctly).
I am having one huge party here in Brissie for my birthday as I missed out on my 25th party bash. So if anyone is around - feel free to drop in on the 24th!!
