Strange waking dream-type thing this morning

Last night I must have fallen asleep sooner than I planned to, because I don’t remember deciding to sleep, and woke sometime between sunrise and alarm time with the light still on and much confusion. No, I wasn’t drinking.

Anyway, when I woke, my mind was working at about 20%, but I felt sure that there were two of us. That’s an ambiguous way to put it, but my memory won’t be more specific. I was the only one in the room, but sure I was there in partnership with someone else; either I was two people, or someone close to me was there (although I didn’t get the feeling it was a lover). I knew something about this feeling was a little off, but in my haze I couldn’t come to any conclusion on the matter, and resolved to just see what happened rather than strain to understand.

I’ve heard of various hypnagogic sensations and the feeling of a “presence in the room” during sleep paralysis, but that’s not how I imagined a “presence” would feel.

Has anyone heard of, or experienced, something similar? I’m not worried; just interested in this novelty.

Once as I was waking up in the middle of the night, I felt completely paralyzed.
For some reason it felt completely normal & that my body just hadn’t caught up with the waking part of my mind.
I told myself to go back to sleep & I did almost immediately.

About a month ago, I heard snoring & I knew it was me, so I told myself to stop snoring. Then I rolled over, stopped snoring & went back to sleep.
It was the weirdest & funniest thing & my hubby got a kick out of hearing about my waking-dream.
