Totally agree with this. Dustin would be unrelentingly grating as the star of his own show. The Nancy, Jonathan and Murray show is much more appealing to me because I see another ensemble show as these three characters gather their own cast of The Usual Suspects.
I would love another season. Any further seasons would depend on if and how they can expand the narrative and still keep it fun and funky. I can’t wait to see what horrors will bring our Scooby Gang back together again.
I hope the final season will bring the characters together sooner than usual. I get that it’s heard to work with a big cast, but I would love to see the whole team working together before the last episode.
Late to the party, but just saw the thing. I liked it well enough. It wasn’t as good as 1 or 2, but it held my attention and had its moments.
The Russian thing did bug me. I actually came here to ask if I’d missed what their end game was, but reading this thread it seems like they didn’t have one. This doesn’t make sense. The Americans in S1 had a plan. They wanted to use Eleven as a spy and/or assassin, but using her breached the upside down, which they then had to study and contain. The Russians were doing, well, what, exactly? Breaching the barrier just to be evil? Surely they realized that what was in the upside down is wholly inimical to humanity. It wasn’t going to fight for the glorious Soviet Union. Maybe S4 will give them more motivation, but I was disappointed they had no plan.
Question: Why did Joyce, Eleven, and Will leave town? And where were they going? I think I missed that.
For once people chose to leave the Hellmouth. How Joyce ended up with El is a little bit more of a headscratcher. Probably nothing legal about it and she needed a new home.
One issue I always have with shows like Buffy, is the town realizes they live in a dangerous place, seems like many have the means to move on and they don’t. So it was refreshing to see a main character decide to leave Hawkins, Indiana.
I mean I can’t understand how everyone wasn’t fleeing Cabot Cove.
Here is a really late reply, with questionable information. As I recall, they were going to Maine, where Joyce had either relatives or a friend who could help until she found a job.
