Strenth needed to squeeze open a 12oz can of Budweiser

Actually, in either case, the pressure would be evenly distributed on all parts of the can (except for the minor detail that lower parts of the can will be at higher pressure, but we could do this experiment in zero g). The only difference with squeezing is that the can would be deformed where it was being gripped, and this deformation might result in a weaking of the can at the point of deformation.

Do that with the can of Bud, and… you’d be sorry, Budweiser.
