Last night at work, one of our regulars passed this on. (Note that I’m posting it NOT for any political snark, but just for amusement.)
She was explaining the word “democracy” to her young students, defining the word, talking about majority rule, and so on. Then she asked what the opposite of “democracy” might be. One student stands up and says proudly:
"The opposite of “democracy” is “Republican”!
Maybe there was too much election coverage in the news.
