Is there some reason nobody is mentioning the Spanish Inquisition?

Let’s face it… religion in general has its fair share of assholes.
Yes, and there’s always some groups unhappy because they’re having to deal with more than their fair share. Sometimes, a lonely gay guy will lament that he’s not getting his fair share of assholes. The distribution of assholes often seems wrong.

Perhaps one day all people will realize that that Islam, Christianity, Judaism, Shintoism, Wicca, and all religions are merely fictions with sometimes useful ethical guidelines (like a fable or parable), and not to be used for excuses to kill. IMHO, of course. But it’s hard to argue that a significant amount of people have found reasons or justifications to kill over interpretations of Mother Goose.

december could you please let us know what the statute of limitations on the crime of being a bunch of homocidial religious fanatics is? How long has to pass before they’re considered “changed”? In this conversation I’m limiting myself to the crusades. Is the tendency of Christians to declare and execute heinous religious war now so far in the past as to be irrelevant to decisions we make today? Consider carefully, my next questions will be about the statute of limitations on ancient claims to national homelands.

Sure. It says so in the Qu’ran. And Keep in mind that the Qu’Ran is not open to interpretation like the Bible. The Qu’ran is the words of Allah dictacted to the Prophet Muhammad verbatim.

Yeah, Muslims love kafirs, they love them so much. They value “life” so much that non-believers should be flayed and boiled simply because they are non-believers. The Qu’ran sanctions abuse of women and pedophilia. The age of consent and marriage in Iran for women was recently /NINE/ years old and only recently has been raised to /TWELVE/. Progress, MmMmmmm.
