What exactly is a stunt queen? I’m referencing that classical work of art, “Let’s Get Drunk And Screw” (I know the Jimmy Buffet version, but I think there’s others out there). Quoting from memory:

I’ve heard that it’s slang for a person who writes bad checks and participates in fraud in general, but in the context, it doesn’t make much sense. I mean, I can’t imagine someone saying “Having the strong ethical background to not defraud others is so sexy.”

What am I missing here?

And yes, I know this is music, but I figured it’s about vocabulary in music, so it belonged in GQ, not CS. Please move if need be.

I guess the snuff queen reference is meant to imply that only an unattractive woman would use snuff. I wonder, I know snuff is what’s inhaled, but could it, in this context, mean chewing tobacco? Because that would be pretty nasty- brown teeth and pre-cancerous lesions and all.

Parrothead checking in here. It is indeed “snuff queen,” but not because of any connection to snuff/tobacco and unattractiveness. According to http://www.cobo.org/knowledge/glc/JBFAQ.html#2.2 (COBO is Church Of Buffett, Orthodox) a snuff queen is an old term for a hooker.

While I can’t find a slang reference which lists this, I believe the basics. I personally doubt the prostitute addition.

“Snuff Queen” sounds just right for an expression which would originate in the world of country music in the US, and the groupies.

The idea for the song comes from a incident where a when Jimmy saw a busuness man hit on a tired hooker in a seedy hotel bar.

Snuff Queen refers to the fact that the prostitute was using cocaine at the time.
