I feel like Bernie Sanders is getting left out of the Stupid [blank] of the Day action. I know, he’s only one man! He can’t keep up with the millions of Stupid Republicans and Stupid Liberals!
But in case he does something stupid, this thread is here for you to post it.

For those that haven’t already noticed, the new Canadian Prime Minister is in favour of legalizing the stuff. (I’m neutral - I don’t care whether or not he manages to accomplish that, although I think it will be difficult). Quite a few people that supported him managed to show up on our election day!

Bernie, if you’re reading this, and you really want to be elected President, you’ll need much, much stupider ideas.
Think big. Like, “hiring Mexicans to build a Mexican-proof Great Wall of America” stupid.

I know a bunch of people who smoke pot. They are, in many ways, a varied group of people, in terms of age, sex, ethnicity, and nationality.
You know a few things that just about all of them have in common?

Like the idea that we can have universal health care, free college for everyone, a trillion-dollar infrastructure fixup, a million new jobs for disadvantaged kids, whatever…just by Taxing The Rich And Wall Street!
Never mind that the math doesn’t add up, not remotely, and that a sizable middle-class tax hike to finance all these goodies would be inevitable. Don’t pay attention, vote for Bernie, pixies will make it all work somehow.
I think the point is that there really isn’t much there. What has Sanders done that even resembles “stupid” lately? Other than refer to himself as a socialist at any point during his political career, that is.
Right. There are several Euro countries that demonstrate it’s all a pipe dream, and impossible, to boot!
Mainly, backpedaling his anti-gun-control background instead of defending it.
Sanders believes there’s a possibility of a liberal political revolution or awakening, one potentially led by young people. Apparently he doesn’t realize this is the United States, not some South American democracy where the people could elect one of their own. We’re way too lazy for that shit.
