That is bad Prismacolor work. And they call it a Prismacolor “painting.” Nope, Prismacolor is cool, but as far as I know, they are colored pencils. You don’t “paint” with colored pencils. I’ve done a lot of Prismacolor work, and at no time did I delude myself that I was “painting.” But hey—maybe I’ve missed something.
As far as the OP goes, I had assumed that she was kidding. Right? Right? No one could really be serious, right? Right? Right?

Based on these two pictures, I’d say that the work was done by a semi-talented amateur who’s still got a ways to go yet.

Looking at the bid history of that auction - yeehaw, a good ol’ bidding war! When I sell, I love bidding wars. I get more money that way. See, Harlow, if you had waited until the end of the auction to bid, Queenisa49 would have still been at $9.55. You could have come in with 20 seconds left, bid $11, and gotten the painting for a lot less. She wouldn’t have known you were interested, and you’d take her by surprise.
Yes, I LOVE bidding wars too (as a seller…eehehe), but I also LOVE snipers! Nothing’s better than seeing a bid go much higher than you thought at the very last second! Course that’s as a seller too. EHEEEHH!

I wouldn’t even pay for the shipping on that artwork. Bear in mind, I bought a set of LJ icons from Jin Wicked, for more than twice what that picture is going for…and I believe that I got my money’s worth, so I do buy original artwork on occasion.
But I wouldn’t buy anything from that artist.
