Stupid Facebook question

Stupid Facebook!

A couple of days ago the layout of the left column of stuff that shows on my “news feed” page changed for no reason. I have a couple of “friend lists” that get regular posts and before the change these “friend lists” were listed out on the left and I could click on one with one click. Now they are buried under “see more” and then “friend lists.”

I have messaged Facebook and they kindly inform me that they will use my feedback in future design changes. I’m sure holding my breath for that.

Anyone know if it’s possible to get my old layout back?

Hmmm. Are you sure you aren’t confusing the view you get when on YOUR page as opposed to the view you get when you are in the HOME page?

When you are on your own page, there is a block of nine “friends” (with thumbnails) who have recent posts. Is that what you mean?

Just out of curiosity… What is the source of news for your Facebook “news feed”?

Like…
New York Times?
Washington Post?
Los Angeles Times?
ABC?
CNN?
NBC?
CBS?
BBC?

I’ve been reading a LOT in the news [my news sources above] about fake news lately - mostly from Facebook. Just wondering what people are reading and where it comes from…

No, this is the home page. Up until this change, my “friend lists” showed on the left side of the home page.

“News feed” is what Facebook calls this page, as far as I understand it; it is also the home page. I don’t use it for news, but Facebook friends do link to the occasional article (often of questionable origins). I get most of my news from NPR.
