Stupid Gun news of the day (Part 1)

I hear someone’s got a desert eagle they aren’t using anymore.

Florida man accidentally shoots own penis after sitting on gun, could face charges as a felon in possession of a firearm. :smack:

Psst! Post 7703

Thanks Projammer.

I thought maybe he’d taken my suggestion and tried it again.

No worries. It was [DEL]probably[/DEL] definitely stupid enough to qualify for at least two posts anyways.

Former Anheuser-Busch CEO August Busch IV was arrested for

IOW, just a citizen exercising his freedoms.

What were the charges against you, E?

Apropos of nothing, when I see a mention of August Busch, I’m reminded of a set of late 70’s/earlier 80’s commercials for a local Minnesota beer, Schell’s.

The conceit was comparing the two founders, Augie Busch and Augie Schell (and of course how Schell was better). The one that I particularly remember was that Busch had a baseball team, and Schell had a softball team, and everybody knows that softball players know more about beer than baseball players.

Has it really been over a month since we’ve had a stupid gun story? Well, I’m here to help!

Two teenagers were walking in a park in suburban St. Louis. They found a gun lying on the ground, as one does. They assumed it was empty and began playing with it, again, as one does. Of course the gun was loaded, because loaded guns are nearly as commonplace as discarded beer cans. Long story short, one of them is now dead.

Where’s a good toddler with a gun when you need them?

Las Vegas. Gun filth everywhere can all go fuck themselves.

Don’t know that the student was legally carrying, but presumably so: A Texas Tech student shot and killed a police officer after being taken into custody for drugs.

So happy that my son is at a school that allows students to be armed (not TT, a Kansas school).

Ap stories say it happened at the police stattion, that story implies it happened at the dorm room.

Assuming that AP is correct, and the slate story missed that detail, that means that the cop didn’t search for, or at least find his weapon. Either that or he got one of the police’s guns at the station.

Slate story currently has this paragraph

My initial reading of the Slate story also had me thinking the shooting was in the dorm, so maybe it has been stealth updated, but they’re usually pretty anal about noting even minor updates to stories.

That’s odd. I had heard the story earlier, and knew the shooting happened at the police station, which is why I took exception to the article’s portrayal of events. I read it a couple of times, even, trying to square it up with what I had heard earlier. That’s why I then went to the AP for the story.

Dunno if they changed it, or if I’m just starting to go senile.

I thought that blowing off your dick qualified if you could no longer procreate.

That does appear to be true.

If you fail to blow your balls off in the process, theoretically you could still procreate.

This conversation has taken a painful turn.
