Here you go. This cracks me down for some reason:
Y’know, that’s not what the “decocking lever” is for…
Or ball rounds.
One pressing question is: What causes Americans to vote Stupid? Is it speaking in tongues? Prosperity gospel or other “Christian” aberrations? Is it lack of education? Innate stupidity? Racism? Gullibility? Cognition that emphasizes amygdala rather than temporal lobe? Homophobia?
It turns out that one single factor is a better predictor of voting Stupid than any of the above: Gun ownership. If only non-gunnists voted, Hillary would have won every state except West Virginia. If only households with guns could vote, Trump would have won every state except Vermont.
I was never in with the anti-gun clique, but this may change my mind. Ban guns and get the Stupid out of politics!
Gas station clerk suspects customer of trying to steal a bag of candy worth $1.10. They argue. Customer leaves the store. Clerk follows customer and shoots him dead.
A dollar’s worth of candy.
I’ve been told on these boards on numerous occasions by pro-gun advocates that property is worth killing for, and while I’ve disagreed with them on that notion, it seems that is not an uncommon sentiment amongst the well armed.
I assume that they will be by to defend this shopkeeper soon enough. Even though the guy didn’t actually have the bag of candy on him, just like threats to one’s life, it’s not whether he actually stole it, it is if the shopkeeper perceived him to have stolen it that is important.
In lighter news, no one died, or even got shot, but here’s a 9 year old facing felony charges.
I know you’re being sarcastic, but it’s the principle of the thing. And anyway, suspicion of stealing candy is just a gateway crime. Next time he’d be suspected of stealing a six-pack of beer. Or a bottle of premium whiskey. Where are you going to draw the line? I suppose you’d let him take your Ferrari? Your wife?
At least the hero of the story wasn’t in some Soviet-style Europe country you libtards are so proud of — like France. There’d he have to take the suspect out with a knife, messing or even damaging his hands.
I can’t keep track — has this already been posted? Just a few days ago a 9-year old was arrested for bringing a loaded gun to school. He was being bullied, and the school lacked any special resource to redress bullying. Was the kid villain or hero? Should the mother’s boyfriend have any gun permit revoked?
I’m not sure how to feel about this. The Second Amendment doesn’t imply any minimum age — indeed a lad precocious enough to handle a handgun at age 9 might make a very valuable contribution to our well regulated militia, if he trains for another 6 to 12 years. Note that he never drew his weapon: Shouldn’t the man be allowed to carry in case he needs the arm for self-defense or to stand his ground?
OTOH, I don’t think it’s unreasonable to require anyone younger than, say, 12-16 to need a permit to carry a high-caliber or semi-automatic gun. (And you gun-grabbing statists say we pro-freedom patriots never compromise.)
That’s because by expanding the definition of “Things worth killing someone for” to include property, there is a higher chance they will actually get to use all those guns to kill somebody. If they simply thought “Danger to themselves or family” was the only reason to kill someone, why, they just might not get to kill anyone at all!
Looks like Ohio law requires one to be 21 to get a concealed handgun license. Can a 9-year old bring a case against the State of Ohio for infringing on his right to carry a gun?
This will probably go into the stats for “justified gun use”.
Just posted it a bit ago. In my neck of the woods, surprised it’s been heard of outside the area.
Bullying is a problem, and it’s not just a problem for the bullied. Had another local student arrested for making "terrorist threats"because he was being bullied.
An armed student population is a polite student population.
Been raining a bit, lately. I notice my ceiling dripping. So I go up on the roof and, naturally, find a fucking bullet hole. It is a metal roof, so the evidence is unmistakable: uniform, deep, not quite vertical, about the size one would expect from a .22. Fucking assholes. Probably came from this block (it is a long block). Yeah, they scored a TD, use your fireworks, do not fire your gun to the sky in celebration.
Well, to be fair, it was more than just a dollar’s worth.
Except that the clerk just assumed and got it wrong:
I think that starting a debate with a 4-star convienices store clerk is highly inappropriate.
I wouldn’t want to be the teacher that had to give out a failing grade.
“But you know what makes me sick?”
Indiana man gets all his guns stolen, and the lesson is “Don’t let strippers in your house.”
The broader picture:
Because so many teachers get assaulted every year by angry students? Around here that happens once every- never.
