I propose that if all proponents of gun control are going to labeled as “banners” by the pro-gun side, the gun control crowd is fully justified in referring to pro-gun people as “murderers”.
Anyone object?

If you have a long, narrow piece of cloth exhorting the elimination of firearms, is that a banner banner?
Works for me.
A billboard in Las Vegas for the “battlefield vegas” shooting range was vandalized to read “Shoot a School Kid only $29”. The entire ad has been removed.
Yeeeaaahh…I figured cops as a whole would be pretty damn good shots until 1) I learned what their actual annual qualification requirements are, 2) I learned that some actually fail and have to re-qual and 3) I, a lowly civilian who rarely shot after I left the military, actually outshot the majority of a SWAT team.
Cowards. Fear defines the right.
Cowardly Murderers?
Craven Killers?
Spineless Slaughterers?
Alarmist Assassins?
Gutless Genocide?
Poltroon Punk?
This week’s New Yorker magazine has an article about Marion Hammer, the NRA lobbyist who singlehandedly controls the Florida legislature with an iron fist.
It’s very depressing.

We have a very active group of graffiti/street artists here in Las Vegas. As long as they keep their shit off the natural terrain (like in the canyons and under waterfalls), I think they’re great. This would be an instance of them being great.
Missed the edit window but I see that the story did in fact mention INDECLINE, one of our most persistent and prolific street artists/art groups.
I am going to say that this qualifies for this thread: an Oklahoma school is bulletproof shelters in their classrooms.
This bothers me a lot.
Man Shot At His Party After Putting On Bulletproof Vest
Dumb on so many levels.
What? He was supposed to aim at the vest?
Why do you need a forensic team to see if there’s a bullet-shaped chunk missing from the vest?
A man wearing body armor and carrying an automatic weapon has entered the California state veterans’ home north of San Francisco. Access to the home has been closed by police.

Beautiful estate. Just how much would that building and land be worth, sitting near Yountville in the heart of the Napa Valley?
Assuming he doesn’t live there, I hope the police are able to resolve the situation without any further injuries. Or if he’s threatening people, killing the guy dead right there works too.
FWIW, I strongly doubt his weapon is an automatic one, and that he has body armor. Still sounds like a very deadly threat to the residents and I hope the residents escape without further harm.
Why don’t they simply pray any crazed gunman away? Or call down the power of Jeebus to help them?
God helps those who help themselves.
Which is why thoughts and prayers are worthless.
