IMHO, I think those ‘caveats’ might just have gotten some stupid kids killed.
I don’t think that hoodie is going to protect his privates. Anyone stupid enough to shove a gun down the front of their trousers like that shouldn’t be trusted in a video.
If sporting gear has to be bulletproof in America just so normal people can use it as a crutch to try to be brave as they go about their daily business, we may have already lost the country to fear and stupidity.
Also, isn’t this just ‘escalation’?
Magazines say their guns aren’t powerful enough. Towns authorize the change to 9mm.
Magazines say that single-stack isn’t enough bullets.
Suddenly all the old guns get sold & new guns are bought.
Magazines say “protect yourself from bullets” and sell bulletproof street clothes.
Everybody runs and buys some.
Cops say their guns don’t work against suspects because of bulletproof gear.
New more powerful bullets and guns are marketed and everyone goes out and buys one.
Magazines say, "Is your child at risk? Our new Super bullet proof street clothes protect from all bullets. Everybody runs out and buys some.
And Wayne LaPierre, the Devil behind the counter of ‘Needful Things’,
laughs out loud and counts his money…
Looks like there were not quite enough good guys with guns.
Really ought to be standard gear for food service workers.
Nor in the Brooklyn subway station that got shot up today. MTG or Boebert (I didn’t pay attention to which) tweeted that, if NY allowed free open carry and everybody did, they all could have shot back.
Oh wouldn’t that have been one splendid scene, in a smoke-filled train car. I mean, come on, I think even NYPD gave up on “just send 45 shots in his general direction, one’s gotta hit” years ago.
No need to pay attention who, the idiocy is the same.
Moreover, I suspect there may have been other armed people in that train. But the attacker having the initiative and element of surprise, and being surrounded by bystanders, they were not in a position to mount a counterattack.
Never mind. JRDelirious beat me to it.
It takes a good guy with a gun to stop a 9-year old wanting to see the Easter Bunny.
He missed the shoplifters but hit the innocent 9 year old kid 3 times?
After the shooting, Cockrell fled the scene. At about 9:00 p.m., Nevada Highway Patrol located Cockrell in his vehicle and took him into custody. Cockrell was booked in at the Clark County Jail on an extraditable warrant, for attempted murder, in the amount of $1,000,000.
Good.
The rabbit kept ducking…
In shooting (well, in any sort of instrument measurement), you have accuracy and you have precision. That good guy with a gun had excellent precision. Absolutely shitty on the accuracy scale though.
This is so fucked up. Leaving aside the tragedy of the death of such a young girl, the poor marksmanship of the shop keeper and the reckless disregard for safety that comes from shooting in a crowded mall, even if he had been an ace shot miles away from anyone else and had hit his target dead center, what could the shop lifters have possibly stolen that would be worth having their death on his conscience?
Apparently shoes.
You’ve made quite the assumption there.
9 year old girl waiting to see the Easter Bunny shot three times by store manager shooting at fleeing shoplifters.
Either there’s a rash of children being targeted by footwear salesman, or I beat you to the story by 6 hours.
Oops. Sorry.
No, it’s all good.
I’d rather that than another 9- year old shot by a trigger happy store owner.
