Stupid Gun news of the day (Part 2)

Poe’s Law.

Don’t they know they have more important things to think about? Trump didn’t spend all this time in fucking Iowa to let some dead kids screw things up for him. Focus people!

Yeah! He doesn’t like kids who die.

‘I don’t like kids that can’t take a bullet.’ ~ DJT

Another genius, responsible gun owner dropped the concealed handgun he’d carried into a place of business that had prominently posted “no firearms” signs. The gun went off and shot another customer in the back of the head. Security video shows the guy jumping and looking shocked, then picking something up off the floor (presumably the gun) and tucking it away before strolling out.

There’s no word yet on how the injured person is, and they haven’t made an arrest yet, but the security footage caught an excellent close-up of his face and a good view of the truck he drove off in.

So the gun went off on its own when it hit the floor?

Then the guy went off on his own to his truck (and out the door).

( I wonder what the ringtone on his phone is?)

One person was struck by gunfire and transported to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. The bullet pierced toward the right side of his head, with bullet fragments left underneath his scalp.

Guns don’t shoot people. Floors shoot people.

Don’t blame floors. Blame gravity.

I’m down with that.

TSA seized an average of 18 firearms per day from boarding passengers in 2023 — 93% of which which were loaded.

I would like to know how many were actually arrested. They said they refer them to local law enforcement but it seems to me that attempting to get a loaded gun onto a commercial plane should be a federal offense.

‘Of course it’s loaded! What good would an unloaded pistol be if some idiot came on the plane with a loaded gun?’

Excellent point.

From a Forbes article from 2022:

“In New York, somebody brings a firearm to a checkpoint, they’re going to get a perp walk out of the airport in handcuffs,” said the TSA official. “In a more permissive gun state, that’s not going to be the case. Local law enforcement may tell the traveler, ‘Hey, go lock that thing up in your vehicle and then come back and go through security again.’”

It’s a felony in Texas, but only if you intentionally, knowingly, or recklessly possesses a firearm when going into a secured area of an airport.

“I forgot” is an ironclad defense.

How long would you put up with being continuously walked on by everyone before you snapped?

Don’t tread on me!

Steve Martin agrees:

Funny, but I was hoping to save this clip for when Rump was fully kicked off the ballot and/or jailed…
