Had the English rule required plaintiff Shana Becerra, and her attorney John Weston, to pay Dr. Pepper/7-Up’s legal fees (and refund taxpayers for administrative court costs), this inanity would’ve never seen the light of day.
I have it on [del]good[/del] extremely dubious authority that diet soda causes weight gain. Kevin Trudeau says so, and do not drink it.

I wonder who paid; did she have to pay her attorney or did he take the case on contingency in hopes of a [del]Monster[/del] (Oops, wrong beverage) large payout at the end? If the former, is that ethical*?
