Stupid religious Facebook friends

When you’re talking about an omniscient being that is all-knowing and all-powerful, and you say that this being shows its love by granting prayers, then yes, the fact that this being - which is all-knowing and all-powerful, and therefore knows that you have prayed to it, and has the capacity to grant your prayer – does not, in fact, grant your prayer, would imply that it does not love you. If it is in fact the case that the being shows love by granting prayers, as has been suggested in this thread.

Just to be clear, I don’t hate religion and I don’t hate religious people per se. But the whole, “God answered my prayers by curing so-and-so” thing has always bothered me, for this reason. I know people rationalize it out so that it makes sense to them, and that’s great. Whatever gets you through the night, man. But I think it’s stupid and also frankly somewhat hurtful and insulting to people whose prayers have not been answered.
