Last night - Olympic Sports Announcers calling the 200m Men’s breast stroke competition. The Japanese athelete (Kitajima) holds the current world record and was trying to beat his own record.
Not once, not twice, but THREE times they called him “the best breast stroker in the world.” :eek:
Now, while I’m quite sure that my fat ass will not qualify as an olympic-caliber athelete, but I would like to know what team I need to join to participate in the practices.

In the 1950s, reporters for our local newspaper used the euphemism “assaulted” when they meant “raped.” This sometimes resulted in odd statements such as “Although the murder victim was severely beaten, she was not assaulted.”
