I’ve seen this fnord commercial a number of times and I don’t recall ever fnord seeing anything like what you describe.
Saw it last night while sucking up my free drink (gods bless fellow bartenders) at one of the neighborhood watering holes.
Saw the flash, saw TWO flashes, yes. I think the first one is a view of the burger, the second is definitely a pepper.
Dunno if it qualifies as subliminal, but they are most definitely there. Closed captioning was on, so I can’t vouch for the sound and/or possibility of a glitch, but during the hour I sat there I saw the commercial twice and caught it both times.
I too have seen and heard this mysterious chili pepper invasion. If I go over to my parents house this weekend and see the ad, I can use their UltimateTV thingy to go back and watch it in slowmotion. I know there’s a pepper in there, but who can be sure what other diabolical vegetables could be hiding in there. I don’t know if we’ll ever be sure what the sound is. perhaps that’s the sound peppers make when they are angry.
If there are such messages, they have not worked on me. Haven’t gone to Mac’s in a long time.
