Suddenly - runny nose

Just screwing around on the Internet tonight, when all of a sudden, my nose just starts running uncontrollably and I have to get up and blow it numerous times.

What causes that? Does it happen to anyone else? It’s highly annoying.

Yeah. I’m slightly allergic to my cat, and it results in runny nose and watery eyes. Not all the time; it comes and goes. But I wasn’t at all allergic to the cat who died last year. I hate saying it, but the wrong cat died.

I was gonna say environmental type allergies. According to where you live it could be pollen. Pollen is bad here in South Arkansas right now. Change your furnace or a.c. filters.

That happens to me when I get a cold. About two weeks ago, I woke up with a mild sore throat. Two days later my nose started running–sprinting really. That day I used a dozen handkerchiefs, the next day a half dozen and then slowly dissipates. I washed 23 handkerchiefs that week, but actual count.

Something similar happened to me last summer. It lasted just a few hours, never led to anything else and hasn’t occurred again.

Yes, it was similar to that. Just sitting there, no problems or anything, then BAM runny nose.

Your brain sprung a leak.

Here’s a helpful article to read in case your runny nose is actually a brain problem.

Gah, that’s a scary article. I’m sure it isn’t a brain issue.akdftgu;als

Could be that some swelling in your sinuses eased a bit and allowed your sinuses to clear.

I went snorkeling one time in the ocean and five hours later I happened to lean over in a chair and salt water poured out of my nose. I had been in that position at times earlier in the day and nothing happened so all I can figure out is that my sinuses relaxed and let the water out.

Since it was straight water and not mucous it surprised the hell out of me as it poured out pretty fast.

It’s spring and people can develop an allergy at any age.
