Not pop, but not too country. I like singing and be-bopping along to “Passionate Kisses” by Mary Chapin Carpenter, though I know it’s a woman’s POV song. One could say it is not “upbeat” as she is questioning why she doesn’t have passionate kisses (and other things), though.
Did anybody mention “Roam” by The B-52s?

Heh. I knew it was going to be One Of Us who corrected that…
Kylie Minogue - Speakerphone
Pete Miser - Scent of a Robot
Jamil Mustafa - It’s All Music
KT Tunstall - Hold On
Alicia Keyes - No One
Well, I couldn’t let that stand. Donna was of course magnificent in her own right, but I couldn’t let Miss Gloria’s contribution go unrecognized.
Also, I can’t believe I forget to put any Debbie Gibson on my list. “Only In My Dreams” is poppy and upbeat and terribly catchy.
So, bluecanary , which of the suggestions in the thread did you like? It might help us to recommend more if we know.
Yeah, what songs got the bluecanary to sing?
YMCA - The Village People.
Sheesh, I can’t believe this hasn’t been posted. (Unless I missed it…)
