If someone wants to ask “Why does my eye twitch?”, they will have to work around the fact that on a Q/A forum this old, other people have taken the obvious titles.
I don’t know when it started, but for the last few weeks my right eye has been twitching periodically. I don’t know if it is my eyelid or eyeball that is actually moving, and while my vision doesn’t vibrate or anything when it happens, it does feel like it is my eyeball. FWIW, I’m a 16 year old male and have never really had any eye problems nor twitching problems. My eyelid and sometimes the skin around my eyesocket have develped a twitch. It goes on for a minute or two then stops, often a few times a day. Its kinda irritating and I’ve no idea why its doin this. What’s my body up to, this is driving me mad?!
Lately, I’ve noticed that the bottom eyelid of my left eye has started twitching periodically. In each case the twitching occurs at a frequency of roughly 2.5 Hz., and typically lasts for a duration of about 3-5 seconds.
When I looked at myself in the mirror while this was happening, I noted exactly where this was taking place. But when I then tried to replicate the twitch voluntarily I was unable to do so, so I am certain that I am not willfully engaging in this behavior.
