Suggestions for names for my truck

A quick look at a list of Canadian comic strips shows a few well-known ones; the best known (though not the best) is “For Better Or For Worse”, so I suggest naming the truck Farley.

If not, there’s plenty of other “Bloom County” names left. Bill The Truck? Binkley? Cutter John? Hodgepodge? Lola Granola?

I think “Farley” would remind me too much of Canadian author Farley Mowat, who wrote “The Dog Who Wouldn’t Be” and “The Boat Who Wouldn’t Float.” With a name like Farley, I’d be afraid of having “The Truck That Wouldn’t Work.”

The comic strip idea may be worth considering, though. Two of my past vehicles have been named for comic strip characters: Opus from “Bloom County,” and Hobbes, from “Calvin and Hobbes.”

Thanks for the suggestions folks!

It’s funny cause it’s true.

How about naming your truck Jimmy?

No, it would remind me too much of one of my golf buddies.

Canyonero

In fact, a friend has taken to calling it “Canyonero”: “Forty feet long and two lanes wide, it’s sixty-seven tons of American pride; Canyonero…”

It’s none of the above, but it’s still fun to hear.

Chuck. Chuck the truck.

Colour! You can’t decide a truck’s personality without more details

Dark grey. The official colour, according to GM, is “mocha-something,” but “dark grey” is accurate enough.

“Dark taupe” would be more accurate. So, Bullwinkle.

The problem here is that Bullwinkle–a small, stuffed toy moose–has always ridden with me in my vehicles. He sits on the dashboard. I can’t call both my truck and my truck’s mascot “Bullwinkle.”

Hugh.

As in Laurie.

Rocky.

Dark grey: Thunderbolt; Lightnin’; Gloom; Depression; Stormy

Mocha something: Double foam latte with a soupcon of cinnamon

Dudley Drive-right?

Name it Poops!

Boris (or Natasha if it’s a girl truck  ) if it’s a baaad truck.
