Suggestions for serious air freshener for my office

I often eat tuna salad for lunch at my desk and my office absolutely reeks. I get used to it of course, but I’m concerned that if someone comes to my office, they’ll be repulsed.

Any suggestions for a serious air freshener? I’m willing to go for a fancy-pants electronic gadget. I’d prefer something that “neutralizes” odours rather than just covering them up with fruity or floral scents, but I’m afraid that might be wishful thinking.

Febreeze works pretty well. I love tuna and eat it in my office, which apparently revolts a couple other people, but Febreeze seems to take care of it.

Are you throwing away your empty lunch containers in your office trash can? I don’t see why a simple tuna salad is going to stink up one’s office, unless the remains are left to rot in the can.

You might consider taking extra steps to toss your empty lunch trash into a common or kitchen trash can instead of your office trash can, or wash out any re-usable lunch stuff instead of letting it sit in your office all day, dirty.

The topic is air fresheners. I need an air freshener. I am not looking for other kinds of advice.

Mrs. Cake, Is Febreeze that you use a spray or a plug in or … ?

I got the Febreeze plug in and it’s working great. Thanks, Mrs. Cake!

Go to a pet store or a health food store and get a bag of zeolite. It is a natural mineral that will take the smell of anything out of anything. Just hang it up in your office and you won’t have a problem.

Very nice suggestion, Annie. I’ll have to check that out. Have you ever used it for non-pet situations?

Yes. I work in rental property management. We once had a house where, one hot July weekend, someone had died on Thursday or Friday and not been found till Monday. We used it, and it worked.

Wow, I guess I have sometimes suspected that I smell like death … but not literally!
