Super Blue Stuff

Ever tried this for aches and pains/arthritis?

I saw the infomercial on it this afternoon, and for a guy who spends twelve hours a night on his feet, and whose dogs are not only barkin’ but howlin’ come 7 am, this seems like a great product.

Apparently, though, the active ingredient (“which unlocks the power…!”) of SBS, is Emu oil. So I’m thinkin’ to myself, “why not just get some damn emu oil and try that before you plonk down 40 bucks for a container of SBS?”

What say you, Consumer-Savvy Dopers?

Thanks

Quasi

What I’d like to know is how do you get oil out of an emu?

On second thought, maybe I don’t want to know.

Quasi, you beat me to the thread. I was just wondering if anyone had tried this Blue Stuff (“It’s a murracle,” according to the old guy on TV). Just what IS the deal with emu oil?
Their website is at www.bluestuff.com.

Slight hijack: What about this AccuPress stuff that I keep getting literature for in the mail? No site in sight......

Hey,

I’m gonna give this one a bump, if y’all don’t mind, 'cause me and Jack and Viva need some answers, and I don’t think enough folks have seen the thread.

Thanks,

Quasi

PS: Jack! What, you don’t know about the “Emu-Press”?

Several people in my online fibromyalgia/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome support group swear by Emu oil. They say it really helped them with their pain.

They don’t buy Super Blue Stuff, they buy pure Emu oil. I don’t remember how much they said it costs, but it’s probably cheaper than the Blue Stuff.

If you want I can ask my group about it and let you know what they say.

My mother is another person who swears by emu oil… she has RSI and Carpell Tunnel (sp?) and has it massaged into her wrists to alleviate pain.

All I can say is poor emus :frowning:

Feh…they’re 6’ tall, nasty-tempered, they bite and they can kill a person with one kick. I have trouble feeling sympathetic.

Of course there is a web page…
