Anyway, to all the fans of the Steelers, you never expected the Cards to be there. You won, so congratulations.
From the biggest Arizona Cardinals fan.
Congratulations.

I definitely think the call was a little closer than the commentators thought.
Oh well, looks like it won’t be overturned now.
I … I wanna kiss you.
The President’s personal preference for victory.
i wonder what was on the menu at the white house super bowl party.
That and Obama said he was rooting for The Steelers last week.
Thanks, dalej
My heart started again. The Cards played great. Really great.
I think this Super Bowl will be remembered as one of the best ever. There have been a couple of drives at the end of games, (Montana vs. Cincinnati, Manning against the Patriots), but two lead changing drives like that was heart stopping.
Props to Warner and Ben. That was great.
Woooooooooooooooo!
Six.
The offense did it when they needed to.
The last play couldn’t have been clearer. You don’t fist a pass, you throw it. He was clearly throwing with an empty hand. Apparently, it’ll be just enough to allow the whiners to bitch again.
NFC = Nothing but Fucking Crybabies
I really like how Whisenhunt and Warner handled the ending and the post game interviews. Kudos to them and the Cards.
Absolutely, the Cardinals have been first-class all the way.
Both teams have been first class.
Anyone miss Plaxico?
The Cards have a great base with Pittsburgh West. I think they will be back.
I know a lot of people hate the Steelers, but one thing I like is their low-key approach. No Jerry Jones owner, no loud “look at me” receivers.
The Cards are the same way. Except for Bidwell, I think their whole team is great. And no one is better than Larry Fitzgerald.
Low blow.
Now THAT was a football game. Some great plays, some amazing runs and impossible catches, a few close calls to quibble about for the next year, and a SIXTH historic win for Pittsburgh. Wow! Go Stillers!
It was a travesty that that last play wasn’t reviewed. Great game, but not reviewing that last play was inexplicable.
You aren’t familiar with Santonio Holmes? The only way it would be worse (or maybe on the same level) is if the Cowboys would have won. The Steelers are one of the worst teams to have won, because of the large (insufferable) fan base, which was the result of their success in the 70’s, and the bandwagoners. Objectively, it was a “good” game as in entertaining, but the best teams in the league were not in the game, and it was a disappointing result.
Who else thought the last play not being reviewed was bullshit?
Obviously Omniscient , and others, I’m drunk…and pissed off.
The last play was reviewed, and determined to be a fumble. It was just very quick. But they did review it.
I just learned about Santonio Holmes this week, and was disappointed. I just hope he doesn’t turn into another head case like Plaxico.
But the Steelers have a history of getting rid of players with character issues. Remember Bam Morris? A very good, young running back in Super Bowl XXX, but got caught with 5 tons of weed and was released. They didn’t resign Plaxico, even though he was and is a stud wide receiver. Joey Porter? See ya. There are a bunch of these guys that are great players and the Steelers let go. Much to the frustration of the fan base, but what they do seems to work.
I also understand your hatred of the fans. I have the same loathing for Yankee fans. But I grew up there, so I don’t apologize for loving the Steelers. I’ve seen all 6 wins, and I’m no bandwagoner.
When Dan Rooney starts roaming the sidelines, get back to me. And Tomlin is as cool as they come. I don’t miss the spit-filled tirades of the chin.
It was a great game. I would say the same thing if the Cards won… I would have been sick about it, but Warner, Fitzgerald, and the Card defense was for the most part terrific.
Hopefully they will stick to that theory and jettison Harrison. The guy is a creep. From an outsiders perspective, there is nothing likable about the Steeler team. Polamalu gets a ton of mileage out of his long hair making him the most recognizable guy on a good defense, while being mediocre himself. If you’re a native, you get a pass. Anyone else that doesn’t have a tie to western Pennsylvania, or, as Adam Carolla said, didn’t have a state trooper shoot their father in Tucson, there is no reason to have been cheering for the Steelers.
It also makes me sick that Roethlisberger has managed to stumble his way on to a team that was able to win him two Super Bowls. Unfortunately history will be favorable for him, and the refs won’t get their fair share of credit when he is mentioned as the worst QB to ever win two Super Bowls.
Good god, I almost chewed my knuckles down to the bones. I was so disgusted around the end, that I went off to take my shower, until I heard my mother and my sister start screaming in the living room. I think I almost keeled over.
But…WE DID IT!!!
sniff sniff This one’s for you, Myron. Double Yoi!
Just out of curiosity, who is your team? If it is the Cards, I understand your bitterness.
I have to tell you, though I think you are way off on Polamalu. He’s a very humble guy and he’s the leader of that defense no matter what Harrison does. And as far as Roethlisberger goes, he’s no John Elway or Tom Brady. But he is a winner. And it’s not because he has a great defense. When he’s had to, he moves the Steelers on their last possession to get into a position to score. If Tony Romo could do that, (or better, McNabb), those guys would have rings.
Ben isn’t Bradshaw, but he’s no Trent Dilfer either.
